Not just for horsesThis mat is great. It says it is made in Canada but there are no details to the type of rubber. I would not use it in a closed space as it has a heavy rubber smell. One sheet is very heavy and it takes at least two people to handle it easily. I used it for a the floor of a large dog house. I needed to cut it and dragged the mat to my lawn then used a reciprocating saw. In 10 minutes I was done and the mat fit perfectly. I also noticed that the original mat fits perfectly in the bed of my truck. I plan to get another one for that purpose.
